1. Jean Chilli Chicken
Spicy food in a beer garden setting? Jean Chilli Chicken is the place for you. On there website, they even have a warning that their food is hot and to not say they didn’t warn you haha. I’ve been told the Cheesy Chicken Set has a nice slow burn, if that is what you are after. And if you are bringing friends who are not a fan of spicy food, do not fear. They have quite a large menu with a range of dishes with different spice levels.

I love Thai food so I had to add a Thai option to the list. I’ve tried this place myself and some of their dishes are super spicy! I’d recommend you order the Kao Rad Pik Sod, it contains, stir fried and fresh chilli and long chilli, garlic, onion, green bean and basil on rice. Seems like the perfect dish for any spice lover. This places gets busy too, so make a booking if you can.

4. Belles Hot chicken
For a more southern style approach to the spiciness, Belles Hot Chicken is calling you name. You basically order from a range of chicken options on the menu and then select your heat level that ranges from 1-6. 1 being southern, which I have tried and wasn’t spicy at all. But from 2 medium, 3 hot, 4 really hot, 5 really f**kin hot and 6 sex panther. All I have to say is good-luck if you try any of those last ones!
Where can you find them? 5/33 Barangaroo Ave, Barangaroo (they also have a Haymarket and Forest Lodge store)
When are they open? Mon-Sun 11:30am-9:30pm
5. Ze Pickle
Generally speaking, spicy doesn’t come to mind when thinking of this place. But they have Suicide Waangs that are made with ghost peppers. Their menu even states – ‘Warning these wings are made with the hottest chillis on earth. By ordering you accept all responsibility and eat at your own risk.’ They images of these wings are bright red – again, good-luck to you if you try this haha!
