The new meat-free craze from late 2019 and into 2020 is Beyond Meat. A beef alternative that looks and tastes like real patty but is made completely from plant products. It’s not your typical boring veggie patty either! Beyond Meat claim the alternative patty looks and feels like beef and it full of plant protein.
So where can you find the plant-based alternative when you eat out in Sydney, do you ask? We’ve done the research for you – See our list below:
Probably the most popular option is Grill’d. The best part is, you can turn any of their burgers on there menu to a Beyond Meat patty for an extra $3. I’ve tried the Beyond Garden Goodness and it was delicious. It was hard to tell the difference between this burger and a their normal range of burgers.
2. Lord of the Fries
As you probably already know, Lord of the Fries have never sold animal products. However, they have now added the Beyond Meat range to their menu. Lord of the Fries allow customers to change their Original and Spicy burgers to Beyond Meat. They claim you can get 20 grams of protein from this patty, which is great!
3. Ribs and Burgers
Another place to add to the list is Ribs and Burgers. They have created and added two new burgers to their menu with the Beyond Meat pattie. The Beyond Original Burger and Beyond Old School Burger. Both burgers include all your favourites as well – Pickles, mustard, onion, lettuce and more!
4. The Morrison
If you want to go somewhere a little more fancy, The Morrison, have now incorporated the plant-based pattys into their Menu. They have the No Meat Cheese Burger that includes a Beyond Meat patty, vegan cheese, pickles, chipotle mayo, lettuce and tomato. Yum!
5. Soul Burger
Another place that doesn’t serve animal products that has added Beyond Meat plant-based patty to their menu is Soul Burger. From August 2019, they have been trailing the plant based patties with lettuce, tomato, onion, aioli.
